Bad service: Vodacom Adderly Street Cape Town

I am writing this complaint on behalf of Godfrey Bennett. A contract was taken out for two cell phones about 3 weeks ago. We were assisted by Carl Isaacs the manager of the store. He also did a sim port as, as Godrey's wife was on cell c and wanted to move over to Vodacom. We were informed this was taken care of. The devices were given to us and we were also told the sim port takes time. This did not happen. The cell c number (moved over to vodacom) did not work and also Godfrey's Vodacom number also did not work. They went to N1 Vodacom for assistance and they were told it will be sorted because its the weekend, they'd have to wait for Monday. But still nothing changed and both were without their numbers and could not contact anyone or be contacted. They decided to cancel the contract due to the poor service. On going back to Carl for assistance; he was rude, not showing interest in the customer and had a very bad attitude. We went to Vodacom in Parow Centre and was told the number definitley moved to Vodacom; but its in an Available status and not an Active status. The sales assitant made every very clear. It seems that Carl did not follow a correct process but instead inconvenienced them. We were told to get the sim card back and insert that into the phone or get Carl to change the status of the number. However we don't want to have to go back and forth. This is not right. Godfrey has been a customer with Vodacom for some time. We need assistance ASAP as Godfrey's wife is without her number. Also we need to cancel an old contract (not the one mentioned above) as they will not be upgrading. Please contact me and I will provide their details.
