Bad Service, *********** Call Center Agents - Vodacom is the worst South African Telecommunications Company

I am using Hello Peter as my last resort, i have been in contact with Vodacom for two months and no-one has been able to offer me any assistance apart from debiting my account, that seem's to be the only service that they provide to consumers.

I requested a pre-settlement quote, paid the settlement amount and sent off proof of payment at the end of May 2016, i received a reference number and was told that my account would be cancelled in June. It is now the 30th of July and my contract is still active and i am getting billed for an account that is inactive and has been paid in full. I received an invoice for July usage of close to R 2000.00 , how is this possible when my sim card is not even in a functioning phone. I switched across to MTN in May!

Today i was put through to 4 different call centres and eventually ended up in the insurance department, no-one was willing to provide and explanation all i was told is that the matter is pending.

Further to the above, i was told that my contract would only be cancelled in July which is the end of my 24 month contract period, so i have been charged for an active contract AND i have paid a pre-settlement amount. Apart from being bounced around by disinterested call center agents, i am being debited and charged from every different angle on an inactive account.

There is a reason why i switched over to MTN, Vodacom is absolutely terrible in customer servive, accounts and cancellations.

All i want is my account to be cancelled and funds refunded. Surely an ethical company would be able to do that? Clearly this is a reflection on Vodacom and the way the business is run.
