Bad service in store and from the Insurance Provider.
On the 10th November I took my tablet in and booked it in due to it having been repaired by Finrite during the covid pandemic. I had to send it back as it was not working properly and then it was returned to me still not in working condition. I wanted to return it and if the recordings are kept they will hear that I was still not satisfied with the tablet as it did not have a turn off switch function. I could never put it off by pressing the off button and the problem with charging. I managed to get it to charge but had to keep it plugged in. We only used it to do our bible reading in the mornings and very very little else. They then called me and advised me that it was not going to be fixed and it was not working due to USAGE. The Vodacom Alisom Repairs put in a quote of R10269.48 Vat inclusive. To the best of my knowledge phones and tablets are a tool to use so how it gets unrepairable due to usage is beyond my comprehension. I have tried to cancel this insurance for the last 3 to 4 years. I just need to go through all my paperwork and find the cancellation forms which they never put into effect in spite of me phoning them and complaining to all different departments. 3 plus years of insurance to be treated like I have been treated when I went to collect it at the Westgate branch. No manager on site as the Manager left early. I got there around 17h05 (video footage with confirm) At 17h32 my husband took a picture of the camera in store and my clock to show that I had been waiting for the insurance claims consultant to help me as the other person in the store who they named as Dereck did not come out to help the customer waiting. When she did help me whilst making copies for her customer who was busy buying a contract I apologised to the customer that she stopped to help me and was glared at with such disgust as I am a white female. Another of the consultants asked why we were still waiting and to me seemed embaressed that no one was prepared to try and help. All I wanted was my tablet which I originally bought at Vodacom on contract to work as it was not a cheap one at the time and is still not cheap. Is there anything you can do to help me as it seems the one insurance provider's service is worse than the previous one and looking at the parts and labour what can one say. I have copies that I can send you for the Quotation and my statement when I booked it in.
