Bad Service from the Subscriber Collections department
Vodacom Subscriber Collections Department - my account was locked until I sent proof of payment to the Subscriber department, for attention of Sanele Songo, the supervisor. My account was unlocked after about two hours, Today, a day later, my account was locked again. I was told by Tebogo, one of the help desk administrators, that it takes time for finance to update my account!!!! How long do they need to update a payment to an account even after I emailed proof of payment!!! Someone did not do their job. Tebogo told me that she unlocked my account and that it would take up to 5 hours to reflect. Then put the phone down in my ear whilst I was still talking. I phoned again and left a message for Sanele, for a 2nd time. After 5 hours my account was still locked (obviously Tebogo did not do a good job) and Sanele haven't phoned me back - it was 18h00 when I tried phoning again - their offices are closed!! I tried the Bot on the website and after a struggle, which took almost an hour, I got one of my lines unlocked. The other two "can take up to 24 hours" according to the Bot. They don't know the first thing about customer service, maybe because they are so big they simply don't care. Oh, by the way, I've been a client of Vodacom for 25 years - not that they care about it
