Bad service at Vodacom Savannah Mall

On the 10th of March 2017, I went to Vodacom Savannah Mall to upgrade my phone as I have been long overdue for a new hand set. I took a Sony xa ultra, I put it at home whilst looking for a pouch. On the 14th of March I tried to switch it on and the screen was all fuzzy and the back part of the phone warm. They took it back and told me they would update me on progress, that never happened. I went to them on the 20th they couldn't tell me what was going on. I went again on the 28th, that's when I was told the phone had some factory default. I asked for the similar phone and was told they do not have. I asked for another phone of less instalment and was told I shall have to add money. I told them to cancel the contract. The manager Mr Ludwig said the contract would be cancelled the next day. To my surprise when I visited another Vodacom shop in Schoeman Streetthe contract was still active as if it was taken on the 30th of March 2017. I do not have a phone for business use and I am really unconvinced. They called me to say that I took a 24 months contract but I do not have a phone. I called Vodacom call center and was referred back to the Shop. I also tried the Vodacom provincial office and was told the same thing by the security at the entrance, I was not even allowed to enter beyond the gate. I am disappointed with the kind of experience I have received from Vodacom. The least they could do is to cancel the contract as I requested them within 7 days.
