Bad service and dissinformation

Around August this year, I received a phone call from a sales consultant at Vodacom, she informed me that due to the data issues that their clients have been experiencing (data that just goes missing) they would be calling all of their customers to give them a special offer to make up for the issue. She stated that she will be giving me a 2gig day bundle and 2 gig night time bundle with a free wifi router and my monthly airtime would remain the same at R200 for an even lower price that I was paying. I cannot remember the price, but to me this sounded like a great deal. So, I repeated something on the lines of: “So you are saying you will be offering me more value on my current contract for a cheaper price?” and she confirmed yes, that is what she is offering. So, I accepted. The call was recorded and I urge the call to be found and played back to confirm my statement.

A week or 2 later my package arrived with my free router and 2 sim cards which I just automatically assumed the one sim had the daytime data and the other the night time data. I have never even used the sim cards or data on the sim cards as yet.

I then went and drew bank statements and noted that on 01/08/2017 I was charged R356.50. On the 01/09/2017 I was charged R356.50. On 02/10/2017 I was charged R476.20 and now on 01/11/2017 I have been charged R1018.59. And have now on the 01/12/2017 debited my account with the amount of R624.49. I have never ever authorized them to update my debit order amount.

I called Vodacom on 01/11/2017 and spoke to a consultant who informed me that I have 3 numbers on my account! My original contract number which I authorized in the Vodacom shop and then 2 other numbers which I presume are the 2 gig night and 2 gig day data. If the consultant had explained to me that the 2 gigs night and 2 gigs day data was at an additional cost I would NEVER had agreed. The way she explained it to me was that this was an offer to make up for the data loss and I confirmed with her that I would NOT have to pay any more on my account, which she then agreed. I have since then spoken to numerous Vodacom customer service consultants, written an affidavit and called the ***** line numerous times without any help! I then went into a Vodacom shop at Woodlands Boulevard 3 weeks ago and dealt with a guy by the name of Fred. He promised me he knew someone who could help me to sort the issue out and I called the shop today to find out what is happening and they said they would call back and never have!! I am at my wits end. VODACOMS SERVICE IS TERRIBLE, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO FINALLY RESOLVE THIS FOR ME!!!!!!!

Reviewer Update
We are now in the new year and my issue has still not been addressed. A consultant called me from Vodacom the day after I wrote the initial review and they apologized and said their sales consultant was in the wrong and that they would rectify the issue and pay me back the money that was taken etc. and I was glad to just finally be helped. But to date nothing has been done and they have gone and debited my account again with the incorrect (higher) amount. This is ridiculous. Sort this out for good now VODACOM!!!!
