Bad Service and Charging for Inconvenience

Your service is *******, your data prices are astronomical and your staff are not knowledgeable about your products!

I wanted to upgrade my contract at the end of 2015. I went to the Vodacom store and saw that there was a better contract for the iPhone 6S+ on Vodacom business, so I asked to get it and they said that they needed to transfer my contract to the business side of Vodacom. After going through a lot of hassle, the contract was transferred - ONLY THEN was I told that the actual contract that I wanted was not available. So, I had to stay on the Red Advantage package that I was on.

I have just been locked out of my account and cannot buy data on the mobile app or the online self-service portal that I normally buy data on because I "do not have permission". I have also just noticed that the long process that I went through to transfer my line to Vodacom Business (so that I could get a contract that did not exist) also came with a cost of R150 that was never disclosed to me.

Having just called the call centre to try and get some data loaded onto my contract, they were of no help and could not even transfer me to who I needed to speak to to rectify the issue.

Congrats Vodacom on providing what is probably the worst service of all the cellular providers. I have calls that drop everyday, your admin procedures are inefficient and your staff are unknowledgeable about your products. You have just cemented my decision to buy a dual sim phone and get my data from another provider from now on. I can not wait for the day that my contract ends so that I can cancel it and never have to deal with you again. Well done.

I guess "in due course" means sometime before December maybe? No one has contacted me to date and it's been a week. Thanks for caring, Vodacom. I still can't buy data, you still charged me for something that I got no benefit from, and you are happily charging for any data that is used out of bundle because I can't purchase any new data.
