Bad Service - Account never credited - Arrears?
I have been having unresolved issues with Vodacom since 20 April 2020 when my account was migrated without my written consent from R158 pm to R273 pm. The contract expired in June 2020 and I paid the account in full. I even went into the Kimberley Vodashop NC Mall branch in May, June and July 2020 and was promised by the Store Manager and JJ that my account will be credited. Contracts expired in June and was cancelled. I verified that I owe them nothing. I was also advised that I will receive a credit as result of the above but still waiting.... However, I received a call on 11 December 2020, I got a call from NBD to say that legal action will be taken against me for arrears of R569.30. I went to local Kimberley Branch on 12 and again on 14 December 2020 and still nothing is forthcoming. The Head Office Accounts Division refuses to give me a statement or explain why the account is in arrears as according to me, JJ and Rudi of Vodashop I do not owe Vodacom any monies but they owe me and still have not refunded my monies. I will never do business with Vodacom again. It feels as if they are doing me a favour to even assist me telephonically and phone was dropped in my ear. Consultants are refusing to speak to me. I would like this matter to be resolved within 48 hours. Its unacceptable to be refused "customer service" as a paying client... they refuse to provide me with statements of my account, of the cancellation details and just say they "cannot" speak to me... this is unacceptable and I will never take out another contract with Vodacom.
How can an account be handed over without first contacting me (if there were arrears - period?), without sending a letter of demand and a final demand? Vodacom refuses to give me statements and the Vodacom branch also tried but people kept cutting calls. It is within my constitutional rights to know why I was handed over without as much as a phone call or a proper account reconciliation being done. My account was settled in full in May 2020 so what arrears are you referring too?
I want this matter to be resolved within the next 48 hours. I have handed this matter over to my attorney at Legalwise as Vodacom is not willing to co-operate with me to date.
Rudi and Lionel of the Vodacom North Cape Mall have also tried to assist me but your head office people are refusing to assist in this regard.
As a paying client, it is within my legal rights to request a bank statement. To date I have NO document in my hand stating that my account has been handed over for collection.
Kindly assist me in resolving this matter or I will also consult the Consumer Protection Court to sort out this matter.
I will never do business with Vodacom again......
