Bad service
I recently took out a new contract with Vodacom towards the end of October, which included a Samsung watch as part of the package. During this process, I was promised that a copy of the contract would be emailed to me. It's now been several weeks, and I’ve yet to receive any documentation despite multiple follow-ups. After repeatedly reaching out to Vodacom, I was informed that I'd receive the contract via WhatsApp, but I still haven’t received anything.
Additionally, when I initially signed the contract, the store didn’t have the Samsung watch in stock. I was advised to come back the following Tuesday. Now, over two weeks later, despite following up more than three times, I still don’t have the watch.
Today, I received an SMS showing the amount I’ll be billed for this month, which includes charges for the watch I never received. This is unacceptable. I feel that Vodacom has completely failed to deliver on their promises and provide the basic service expected from such a large provider.
When I contacted customer service to resolve this, I was informed that they couldn’t assist me with contracts taken out in-store, only those processed through the call center. This is absurd! Why should I, as a customer, be tossed around due to internal limitations? Vodacom is Vodacom – your services and support should be seamless regardless of where the contract was taken out.
I am incredibly frustrated with this experience and the lack of accountability from Vodacom. I’m now requesting the cancellation of the Samsung watch from my contract as Vodacom has clearly failed to honor their commitment. I hope Vodacom takes this complaint seriously and improves its customer service so that others don’t experience the same disappointing service.
