About a month ago Vodacom called me to upgrade my router and/or tablet. Now they charged me an admin fee of R300 for a couple of minutes on the phone. I called the call centre only to hear that it is not them (if it were they will refund it) but the upgrade was done by someone else. I called them - at first the consultant said they will not refund the R300. I told her that I refuse to pay that for a phone call they made - she said I must wait until after the debit order and call again then for the refund????? This is ridiculous! On Thursday I called Vodacom for the Upgrade on my phone. Yesterday I received the new phone. The old sim card does not fit into new phone. When I called the call center last night the Upgrade department was closed already - the call center consultant told me that there should have been a sim in the package. This morning I was told by the Upgrade consultant they don't send out sim cards - I must go to a Vodacom branch to get the sim. REALLY? Why didn't they tell me that when I did the upgrade. Now I must pay the branch and send the invoice to the call centre for a refund??????? This is PATHETIC to say the least.
