BAD SERVICE
I have had contracts with Vodacom for more than 10 years. My account consists of 2 phone lines and 1 data card. I was contacted by Vodacom sales department in September whereby the sales consultant told me my 3gig data card's contract had expired in February 2017. He then sold me a 60gig data card for R399 per month and told me that the other data card would be cancelled. I received the new data card during the last week of September. We have been using the data card from the date it was received up to 04 October 2017, when the data card stopped working. I phoned Vodacom to enquire why the card was not working and was told that my account is in arrears. My debit order for my 2 lines and 3 gig data card went off on 02.10.2017 (as the 1st was on a sunday) and on the 03.10.2017 the monies for the 60gig data card was taken off my bank via debit order. I had to explain to the 10 people I spoke to that my account was not in arrears as my debit orders went off. On Friday afternoon the data card was still not working. I phoned the accounts department of Vodacom again and they escalated the query to their technical department as they could see that my account was paid but the system still shows my account was in arrears. Later on Friday night (06.10.2017) the data card started working.
Today, 10.10.2017 I received my statement and saw that I was still paying for the 3gig data card that was suppose to be cancelled. I phoned Vodacom ( ********** ) to cancel the data card and guess what....my account stills shows in arrears and therefore I cannot cancel the data card. I was put through to the accounts department again and the gentlemen, Chapel, informed me that he could see that payment was received and I have never been in arrears since 2008, but the system still shows that I am in arrears. He escalated it to the technical department and told me that they had a system error since last week on the system because the 01st fell on a sunday. He told me to phone the cacellations department again tomorrow 11.10.2017 - WHY????
