Bad service

Four days, 20 calls (not even counting the dropped calls) and more than 4 hours spent on the phone and still no upgrade!! So much for your specials and cyber monday...

All of a sudden after how many years of paying more than R800 a month on a vodacom contract I'm apparently not eligible to apply for a upgrade to a R299 vodacom contract! That definitely make sense.

Tried to upgrade online on Friday, vodacom didn't phone back as promised. I phoned how many times on Saturday just to go through the whole security process just so that the phone call can get dropped time after time. I eventually got through that process just to get told that I'm eligible for the deal - of course she couldn't tell me why I'm apparently eligible.

So it took me a few more calls and hours to find out my profile is all of a sudden on P500. Nobody can however tell me why it's on P500, just get transferred from the one person to the next. Funny that there is also never any manager that they can transfer the call to...

I called the accounts department and according to them there are no arrears and they can't do anything about it. They insisted that I must phone a manager at upgrade - mission impossible!

The next consultant insisted that I must call Transunion that will be able to assist with a credit check which is suppose to explain Vodacom's P500 profile. Transunion also couldn't find any reason since there's no issue according to my credit check.

So why is my account profile P500 Vodacom?

Reviewer Update

Received the following email yesterday from Vodacom:

Your Hellopeter complaint refers.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Any application is considered by taking various factors into account. This will include your credit history (other accounts), income, age, employment period etc. These factors will produce a score/profile and based on the result your application will be approved or declined. Your portfolio has been reviewed and we have requested that the Sales Support Team contact you to discuss the upgrade.

According to the text I got today is the query closed. I however still want to know why you classified my account as a P500?
