BAD SERVICE

I have a contract with Vodacom and on 9/8/2016 I noted that my data was almost finished. Accordingly, I bought data via the 111-number on my cell. I received an sms and e-mail confirming my 1GB purchase.

When the data was not loaded, I contacted the Consumer Helpline (082 111) to follow up. I was told that they would have to send a query to the “Services Department” which was done – reference number: 1- ********** 6186. Every time I called I informed the person I was speaking to that I use the data on my phone for work etc and that I am about to run out. I also advised that I am not willing to pay exorbitant data fees due to the fact that my data was not received. On 11/08/2016 (after numerous telephone calls to the help line) I was advised that my query has been escalated for urgent attention. I even visited the Vodacom shop at Mall@Reds in an effort to get this resolved. Mr Brandon Menezes was kind enough to forward an e-mail on my behalf querying my request. I have also sent a complaint via the website (references: 00TE-E3P2 and 00TE-E3H) and merely get an e-mail back advising that they are attending to my request. Further calls were made on 13, 15, 16 and 17 August 2016 to the 111 number. I am sure that these calls are recorded as advised. On a few occasions I was asked to hold, only for another consultant to pick up the phone and me having to go through security questions and explanations again. I was originally told that the query can take between 24 to 48 hrs to be resolved. This week I was informed that it can take up to 7 days(??). So in the meantime I must incur ridiculous data costs?

Why is it taking so long for this to be sorted out. When do I get the data I purchased more than a week ago. Am I going to be reimbursed for the data used while I was waiting for my purchase. Friends and family have even tried to buy data for me via their own cell phones and this has also not been received.

I have had my number for a very long time, but the service in the last week has been totally unacceptable. I do not have the best cell phone or most expensive contract, but I have NEVER been late with payments to Vodacom. Why am I not getting the service I pay for?? What is Vodacom going to do to fix this dilemma??

As I am typing this, I am holding for the Vodacom Service Department. IT IS STILL NOT SORTED OUT and I have not received ANY calls or e-mails from Vodacom. The call centre agent just advised me that the query will be escalated AGAIN. She could not tell me who is dealing with the matter and then ended the call!?!?! I WANT SERVICE IMMEDIATELY!!!!!
