Bad phone / service

On 10th Nov 2021 @ 13:31:20 ,I have purchased a Vodacom A3 core at Vodacom The Marc which I needed to make calls / SMS etc because my iPhone went off ( motherboard issue) then to my surprise the phone was not working property - my callers couldn't hear me but i could hear and since it’s a dual sim card phone which I advised its not network locked when I was about to purchase it ( IT DOESNT ALLOW ANY NETWORK SMS TEXTING IN OR OUT.I took the phone back the following day 11th Nov 2021 to report it but the lady working at the store tried the settings and eventually it seemed ok. I left the store and when i got to the car the same issue started and at that time I really needed a phone to make calls, I then went back to the store on 15th Nov ( meaning i had a weekend without phone) so I kept going back asking them to OBF the phone and they told me they dont have loan phone etc. My issue is I bought a phone cash because I really needed it ( emergencies which I was attending at the hospital) but the only thing to do was we can book it but no phone. I kept going back until the manager suggest that it requires software upgrade but why cant they take the phone back and give me my money to purchase a working phone since I went back to point he the issues? I am really disappointed that Vodacom can place phones which aren’t working for customers to purchase ( what about the consumer protection act) and still not get competent staff to assist including their manager. I need someone to attend to this.As it stands I am still having issues with the phone!!!
