Bad Management Decisions

I note that Vodacom decided to "Upgrade their customer enquiries services" by removing the e-mail function and rather promote a "call-us or we-call-you" function?

I quote: "Please note, that in line with Vodacom's aim to respond to customers' queries quicker, we have temporarily replaced the email function. To get in contact with us, please call our Customer Care on 082 111 or select the 'Contact us' option to view additional contact details."

Never thought this through, did you? 1. Put yourself in the shoes of a highly irate Client trying to explain an explicit enquiry to someone who hardly understand you? 2. Holding on for a lengthy period of time being shoved from pillar to post at Vodacom, just to be finally cut off? 3. Even with a "call-me", business people can not always be available as anticipated? 4. Assuming everyone is able to speak? 5. Who did the investigation that your response via phone is quicker than e-mail? 6. Tired of making promises on paper that possibly never materialise? 7. No paper trail; no audit trial? Just a "he-said, she-said" scenario?

Really Vodacom, look at your rating and complaints just from this site, then ask yourself whether you made the right decision!
