Bad Experience

On 26 Oct 2020 I, out of the blue, found that my cell will not make a call or receive calls. Facebook and Whatapp worked. After a long battle I went to the Vodacom shop in Mall@Redds (Centurion). They battled for an hour or so and eventually came up with the reason: My cell is "black listed"or "grey listed". This apparantly happens when your cell is lost or gets ******. Well, then the surprise came. Vodacom gave me a form to submit all particulars and that it will take 3 -6 months to get it fixed. ?? Asked why, the next surprise ... Vodacom declares they have nothing to do with the cell itself, they only run the account, and that the cell is controlled by an overseas compnany, apparantly by the name of Knox. Vodacom also informed me that the chances on success as low as they saw this happen before. I submitted the form but received no feedback to date and now sit with a dead cell phone but still have to pay the account. I truly think and believe this is another way from Vodacom, to take (rob) your money but dont want to realy be of service. I bought this cell in cash from Vodacom..just to find out that they will not take responsibility. To the public out there: Beware, dark operators like Vodacom WILL pull a fast one on you sooner or later, and as in my case you will find you have no chance. Thanks Vodacom ... for nothing, but hope my contribution will help in getting that extra home in Spain for your directors.

Vodacom did contact me and they eventually notified me that the cell was blocked by Telkom and noted as "******". Vodacom then also informed me that they can do nothing further for me on this matter and that I should take it up with Telkom. No info as to who, what , where at Telkom.
I now sit with a contract with Vodacom that I must adhere to, and no cell that I can use for that contract. Vodacom however feels feathers. They want their money and could not care if I can actually get something (cell usage) for the money I am paying.
Said this before and saying it again: Vodacom with all their sweet talk and fancy adverts, are purely out to get your money in exchange for very lousy and "fly by night" service.
I am totally disgusted - yet again the "big" guy just walks over the small guy, in order to enrich themselves.
