Bad ethics

I took my phone to Vodacom Savannah Mall repairs centre after the screen broke. After initially quoting R900 to replace the screen, they later changed their story and claimed the motherboard was broken, which I know is false because my phone still vibrated, rang alarms, and responded to touch. They tried to convince me to take a new phone through insurance and refused to let me temporarily access my old phone to retrieve my data, saying it was ‘dead’. I believe they were trying to **** insurance and keep my functional phone for resale. I’ve cancelled the claim and requested my phone back. And after getting it back I've charged it and turned it on it still rings my alarm, vibrates and I tried to stop the alarm by tapping all over the screen and it stopped meaning it still responds to touch Avoid this place.
