Bad Customer Service - Vodacom Mislead by Migration
Greetings on 12 December we received a call from, Vodacom, wit regards to migration to our current Vodacom packages . The consultant who helped us informed us that or SMS, can be removed from the package since we do not make use of it, and it can be replaced with data, before she explained any further I have informed her that we do have a open server WIFI at home and we also have a WIFI router that's why we on 1GB package, she explained that nothing will change on our contracts and billing only the SMS will fall away and the 3GB data will replaced the SMS, only to my surprise, we were sitting now with a higher package is this just to make sales cause the wrong information was given to us. W do have a lot of SMS on both our number *** and ***.Please bare in mind that we are very loyal customers of Vodacom I have my contract with you guys for almost 20 years now and never ever did I have any problems with Vodacom our account number - I***2-8. Please be aware that my current package was a Red 1GB 200m (R355.99 including VAT), and she informed me that because we don't use our SMS functionality all that much, the SMS will be discontinued and replaced with a 3GB data plan (costing R514). I told the customer that if we do this migration, nothing needs to be changed on our package because I have a 3GB data plan. been a devoted customer of Vodacom for more than 20 years, and we want our installment and other aspects to stay the same. However, they can remove the SMS messages, which were sent to my line at *** and my husband's line at ***. We only discovered this in January when we called to complain about being misled by the Vodacom consultant. Even the customer consultant that I spoke to told me that I am not the only customer who has been complaining. The will investigated and migrated us back to the package that we were on, and we would be charge any migration fee. I contacted the customer service call center once more on 5 February, 2023, to see if this inquiry had been. Due to a mistake on the part of Vodacom, the first consultant we spoke to in December told us that they would waive the migration cost and we will not be charge the migration fee. So now my entire account is messed up due to one consultant. I now owe R 3083.00 to Vodacom for the month of February as a result of the mistake. The migration has not been postponed or waived on either of the numbers *** or ***. They were supposed to compensate us on two lines, ***, but they only paid out R 414.00. When we request to talk with a senior, they are never available. Especially if you have been a Vodacom customer for 20 years, this is incredibly frustrating.
