Bad Customer Service & Harrasment

I took out a new contract with Vodacom on the 28th of Dec 2016, I was told that an activation fee of R104.26 was going to be debited from my bank account 2 days later. The debit did not take place as stated, it was only successfully debited from my account on the 13th of Jan 2017. From the 6th of February I started receiving arrear sms' from Vodacom and phone calls at 9:00pm that my account was in arrears with R104.26, when I phoned the Collections department they could not tell me how come my account was in arrears nor where they interested in me telling them that the amount that they claim that I am in arrears with was paid.

I then went to the Vodacom shop at Eastgate Mall to try figure out what was happen, the staff members at the shop were very unfriendly but eventually they called the Collections call centre for me. The Collections call centre told me that the amount they are harrasing me abount was not the activation fee amount but they said that in December they had a problem with their systems and therefore short debiteed customers hence i was getting sms' and calls from them that my account was in arrears.

I am not happy with Vodacom for this treatment which was an error on their side. I have been a customer of Vodacom since 2001 and this recent treatment made me feel as if I am a person who does not honor his obligation. I will not be renewing any of my contracts with Vodacom when they expire nor will I encourage family and friends to take any products or services from Vodacom due to bad service.
