Bad Customer Service

I wanted to take a new contract out with Vodacom recently although I was denied because of my credit score. I assume I was denied as I have no accounts on credit giving me a below average credit score (I just have a credit card).

I was then told to send my bank statements and payslip to them and it would be sent to 'head office' for review. A few days later without answer I phoned vodacom and was informed that nothing could be done and that it is an automated sytem process and I would have to wait 6 months to apply again. I wasn't given any futher help.

Some basic information:

The contract was R299 pm. I don't have any credit sources other than my credit card.

Apparently it can only be reversed if I earn over R50,000 a month which I don't.

I understand that credit scores a good way of validating an individual's ability to pay a contract but surely there a manual way of overriding this if a customer can prove it with a payslip and bank statements. I see no logic in this.

If someone can explain why there is no overide process to me I would be greatly appreciative of this, otherwise I am going to Rain!
