Bad Customer Service

I recently made a complaint of Vodacoms Facebook page about having a recycled number. I will admit I was rude, but I was frustrated and concerned for my safety. Ever since I bought my New SIM i have been harassed by the old owners contacts. The phone me at all hours message me and when I tell them its a wrong number they try to chat to me anyway. It has even go to the point where i received a Facebook friend request from one of the contacts I blocked.

When I messaged Vodacom about my problem (rudely due to frustration) all I wanted was an apology for the inconvenience and a new SIM card for free, this was their response (paraphrasing) "Block them". I get at least 3 phone calls a week and maybe 5 whatsapps, that means I am going to spend every day blocking numbers.

Frustrated I tried again (ruder now) I explained that I was worried these people could track me using the number and how they are eating my data because they keep sending photos and videos. Vodacoms response:" Hi Claire, Vodacom is not responsible for the previous users of the sims card and to what marketing services the number was subscribed to. We cannot remove the number from those databases. You can also not be tracked through your SIM"

I have never experienced such rude and condescending behavior towards a frustrated and concerned customer. All I wanted from the very beginning, which I did state, was an apology and a free SIM card. I feel Vodacom needs to train their staff better in how to deal with disgruntled customers. If they had responded back with an Im sorry for the inconvenience or problems and given me a free sim, I would have been happy and left it at that, but instead they made it seem as though the issues I am experiencing was because of something I had done.
