Bad customer service

I was called by a Vodacom agent a couple of months ago wanting to sell me a product on offer. I told her i would think about it and that she must call me back the following day. When she called, i told her that i was not going to take the offer up and that in fact she must please cancel my previous contract which was supposed to end in March. In fact she logged into the system, asked for my ID number etc and confirmed that it was done. Today, 7 September I log into my Experian credit report and there is an arrears amount from Vodacom for close to R900. I phone Vodacom and am sent from Pillar to post. End up speaking to someone from the pre-legal department who tells me that I can make payment arrangements and that in fact my contract only came to an end in July. How is it possible??? On top of that i have been charged an additional amount of R100 for each month my account was in "arrears". I thought about renewing my Vodacom contract but after this i definitely will not!

I have not used this contract (i dont event know the cell number assigned) for close to 2 years!!! I loss the sim card almost 2 years ago and went to vodacom and paid for a new sim. when i got home, the sim did not fit into my phone despite the agent assuring me it would! And now this!

the agent advised that he had logged an enquiry to cancel the interest added on this account. Now, I receive messages demanding payment for the amount. No feedback regarding the arrears amount being removed?? I tried phoning several times, but each time i hold on indefinitely.

Dear Lucian No my query has not been resolved! In fact I have just received a call from Vodacom threatening me that my account will be handed over due to non payment. I transferred R275 to vodacom on 29 November and apparently its no reflecting. How can this be if I used exactly the same information that i have used previously. I am not certain why you have responded above that my query has been resolved? The agent further told me that its now reflecting negatively on my credit profile. I am extremely frustrated and dissapointed by the level of incompetence. The R275 that I transferred is in fact more than what I "apparently owed" Vodacom? After this enquiry is resolved will Vodacom update my credit profile correctly??????
