Bad communication and ***********
I have been a customer for 20 years but am now utterly disappointed with the Vodacom, in particular the Fibre Team . I moved and my fibre had to be relocated. By 20 Aug OctoTel confirmed the fibre box was activated, but still 5 days later (and counting) Vodacom could still not activate my router! (despite them sending an email by 22 Aug saying it was active...haha). I am probably paying already for a non-functioning service. I have been on the phone with the Fibre Team at least 3 times a day since the start and they always give the same BS. E.g. lets reset your router, check the cables, it takes 30 days (despite me logging it originally as priority) etc., etc... It was clear something more serious was wrong but the operators could not understand this. By 22 Aug I asked them to send a technician....they did not. They simply gave more stories about escalation, red flagging the issue and moving the to Level 2 at the back office. I have the name of that "ticket owner". She never communicated to give updates or anything. (not very professional) I always had to talk to an operator middleman. On 25 Aug they called saying they will send a technician. Nothing happened until I later that day wrote a complaint to vodacom. They then sent someone after 5pm. He could not fix the problem either. Some setting issue on the fibre box. Without going into more of the frustrating details, and even if the octotel settings or box was wrong, the people who caused and still cause the most frustration is the Fibre team call centre. I told them ages ago that all the resets, etc., are not working and to send a technician as the issue is much bigger. They simply didn't care. They just keep "escalating" things while the almighty ticket owner never communicates anything, ever. I am still without fibre despite paying for it and Vodacom refusing to give me curtesy data. I just want my fibre back but will probably just get another operator call me talking nonsense and not fixing the problem.
