Bad attitude, disappointing service

We ported my husband's cell no from MTN to Vodacom over the weekend. The new sim was supposed to be activated this morning after loss of signal from MTN. When he inserted the sim I tried to buy airtime on internet banking but it could not be done. I had to go to Tygervalley Mall for business and decided to pop into the Vodacom store at the entrance. I had to wait for assistance, which I patiently did but in the process overheard this rather unfriendly assitant's conversation with another client over the phone. Eventually I told him I was not able to buy airtime for the ported number. He checked the system and told me the sim was active and my husband should dial 121 to activate it on the phone. He did that and got a message telling him his sim was not ready for WIG - which is wireless internet gateway??!! Please - we just wanted airtime!!!! After completing all my other business in the mall I went back to the store. The same guy was not available and I told another assistant the story and told him I only want to buy airtime for the number....after which he also got irritable. He checked the system and could also not succeed in letting me buy airtime. He then told me we should buy a voucher in a store because the first time airtime should be recharged by voucher. What ****! Why could no-one tell us that at Stellenbosch Square over the weekend and why could the first rude guy not tell me that the first time I went into the store this morning? I bought a voucher at Pick'nPay and my husband succeeded in loading the airtime. All I know is I think it was a HUGE mistake to leave MTN for Vodacom if that is the kind of service one gets. If Vodacom's employees don't feel like working on a Monday morning please don't bother opening the shop!
