BAD ATTITUDE

I have a contract which was sponsored by my former employer who took all details to cede the contract to me in Oct 2014. The contract expired in June and I am due for upgrade. To cancel something I have been diligently paying for has become a nightmare. Why must I get a letter or an affidavit to cancel something in my name which I am paying for on a monthly basis?
