Awful service and bad attitude
I recently took my cellphone in for repairs to the Vodacom Repair Centre at Canal Walk in century City, Cape Town. I should have known I would have a dismal experience when I saw another customer have a complete outburst due to bad service. Nevertheless, I booked my phone in for repairs and was smsed some time after, stating it was ready for collection, Vodacom had given me a loan unit in the interim to use. I tried a few times to go back to the store to get my handset but waited for so long each time and eventually gave up. On Saturday, 3 Feb the loan phone stopped working, I went to the Cellucity at Paddocks in Milnerton to check and they couldnt find a fault so called Vodacom at Canal Walk the next day who told me the phone had been blacklisted as I hadnt retured it within 90 days. I then asked the agent helping me, her name is Monique whether I could then request that my phone be sent to Cellucity at Paddocks as I refused to go back to the Vodacom store at Canal Walk, even asked whether I could then hand the loan unit back to Cellucity too. Monique assured me it would and could be done. I called Cellucity on Friday, 9 Feb to check whether the phone was there and was told no. I called Monique again at Canal walk again and she said that "Oh we have been trying to get hold of you for a while". She is completely *********** because surely you realise that if a phone is blacklisted you cannot phone it!!! She then all of a sudden told me that oops no I need to come there and first pay for my handset repair, again why on earth she would tell me that my phone could and would be sent to Cellucity KNOWING that the payment for the repair of my handset had to be paid at her store. Makes absolutely no sense. Whilst we all make mistakes, I just feel that the staff at Vodacom at Canal walk simply view their jobs as a means to an end, there is no concept of customer service whatsoever as they dont take pride in their work, which is why so many of us hate going there.
