Awaiting new online contract more than 1 week later

I went into a few Vodacom outlets and between their systems being down and not knowing what information they require for a new contract, I decided to go online and order a new contract to the value of R1200 pm.

The online experience was great however no response thereafter. After 3 days, i started speaking to the online agents who advised that the phone will be delivered early the next week. On calling in the next week, I was then told that Vodacom could not get ahold of me.

According to their post sales manager Mashe Mazubane, Vodacom's process is to locate my contact numbers from their credit rating systems. So Vodacom called my contact numbers that do not exist today and expected a response whilst I provided a current number on the online application.

After 1 week, I provided the new cell number again. Their systems was updated and I was then advised that Confirmations has to contact me. I am still waiting.... I was told that Confirmations systems was down. I questioned if all new Vodacom contracts were on hold for the past 8 days?

On calling today, the ********** call kept dropping. Eventually on the 4th call, Linda answers but refuses to let me speak to her manager. Eventually after nearly 10 minutes, I speak to her manager Mashe who advised that Vodacom's process requires a landline number to finalise confirmations.

I was flabagasted. I asked Mashe why it took 8 days to ask me for my landline number? She advised that she can only speak for herself and not Vodacom. Confirmations will answer all my questions. She took no accountability for the situation and told me that confirmations will answer all my questions, she could only speak for herself and not her company?

8 days later, after an average of 2-3 calls to Vodacom daily, I've decided to cancel this contract. Clearly R1200pm is too little to give any form of service.

Vodacom staff and outlet resources are a bad representation of your brand. They have no accountability nor initiative in assisting customers in resolving simple issues. I do not understand why a new contract should be on hold for 8 days....surely this is impacting on your business?
