Avoid signing up for Vodacom Fibre - they do not want nor need your business!
I received a call from Vodacom fibre early in October 2017 - I informed the consultant that I would be interested in signing up at which stage he said they would send through the documentation. I never received anything - I then went on line and tried to sign up for Fibre there and to date have not received ANY feedback from them. Lo and behold I receive another call from a sales person from Vodacom asking whether I would be interested. I explained that I was but I was not sure whether Vodacom was actually interested in selling this service to me. This sales person said they would sort it out immediately and that someone would come and see me the next week to install the Fibre.
The next week came and it was not to install the fibre but rather another sales person who made me fill in some forms. This sales person promised it would be resolved soonest.
About a week later I got a call from Britelink who gave me the date of 17 November 2017 an a selection of installation times, I selected 11am.
Needless to say the day was taken off work so I could wait for them to install but no-one pitched. I tried to contact Vodacom but was informed that there was nothing I could do and should contact Britelink (although apparently they are my service provider - go figure!) anyway I tried to contact Britelink was was informed that I needed to contact Vumatel which I then did. I was informed by the person on the phone that they could not help me as that division had already gone home but that she could see my scheduled installation and would contact me first thing Monday morning (20 November 2017) - well no one bothered to call so I re-contacted Vumatel - I was now informed by the lady that they have no record of my installation at all and asked me for the Work Order Number, I informed her that I signed up with Vodacom and they never gave me a Vumatel Work Order Number? I then contacted Vodacom Fibre and guess what, they no have NO record of this installation and can only see the online request i logged which according to them is still pending.
I have tried to contact the Vodacom Sales Person who came to see me but, yes you guess it, I cannot get through to his cell phone.
In this short space of time it is clear that Vodacom does not need my business and as such I do not need / want Vodacom as my service provider...
My suggestion is to avoid ANY corporate service provider and only deal with start-ups as they still value customer service and business.....
