Arrears

I came to know that im in arrears after cancelling my contract February 2023. I called Vodacom was told of R1043. Was told to call HP Attorney they told me my arrears was R1014. I paid R500 last week. balance owing is R543 which i said i will pay by end of June 2023. Now HP Atorneys say its over R1500 arrears; without the R500 i paid. Is this a ****.
