My husband became aware of being a victim of impersonation with another cellphone service provider . On 15 September 2016 was Vodacom at Middelburg Mall informed and a copy of the SAPS paperwork were handed over to the branch manager (pro-active approach from us to prevent other *****ilent transactions). On 17 October 2016 did we became aware of an amount (+-R850) subtracted from our banking account on 30 September 2016 by Vodacom via a debit order. Vodacom was contacted about 21h00, was informed that the account been freezed and adviced to report to the closest Vodacom shop as we were unable to verify credentials. 18 October 2016, back to Vodacom in Middelburg. *****ilent contract taken out on 18 August 2016 at Cresta Jhb confirmed. August and September debit orders from our banking account as well as the account being freezed (prior to our query on 17/10) was confirmed.

My questions: why was it not identified on 15/9 that a *****elint account been opened and WHY did Vodacom until today not contact us regarding refund arrangements at the time when they freezed the *****ilent account or post our enquiry almost a week ago? My assumption is that VODACOM hoped that we wouldn't pick the transactions up and are seemingly unwilling to refund the money, incorrectly taken from our banking. VODACOM opened a *****ilent contract in my husbands name on 18/8 - proof of ineffective application checks.

We are NOT current Vodacom customers
