Application declined because vodacom failed to inform me of policy and procedures

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service received from vodacom customer care. I have an existing contract with vodacom with an additional line. The additional line was due for an upgrade in June but I needed to upgrade sooner. I called the upgrade centre and they were unable to assit me with an early upgrade, I opted to do a premature cancellation on the additional line so that I could take out another contract. I enquired both at call centre and in-store whether this would affect my chance of getting another line and I was advised it would not. I proceeded with the cancellation and received cancellation letter and was assured that the number was no longer on my profile and that It had been converted to prepaid. I went in-store to apply for another contract and to my surprise, cancelling the line did impact on my application and the new contract was declined with reason I have exceeded the maximum amount of lines. Vodacom consultants failed to inform me that it takes 30 days for the line to be cleared from my account, so when I app**** for an additional line it was declined. The only reason I did the premature cancellation was that I could not wait a month to upgrade, I had informed the call centre agent of this when he ask why I wanted to cancel the contract, this would have been the perfect opportunity for him to tell me that I would have to wait 30 days irrespective. after numerous attempts, 5days worth of calls to ten different consultants and three store visits and an application to have my credit limit increased no one could provide me with a valid reason. After enquiry about the progress of the credit limit increase I was informed very abruptly by a sales consultant in the sales department that the credit limit increase could not be processed as there is a three month waiting period after an application has been declined. Why would they vodacom initiate a request like this if they know it would not be processed????. To date, the only responses I have received from vodacom is that there is nothing that they can do and that I have to wait. This is very frustrating and causing a major inconvenience because of the lack of communication I know find myself in this situation, There was ample opportunity for any one of the many consultants I spoke to, to inform me of vodacom policies and procedures but they have failed to do so.

Dear Shad / Vodacom I have attempted to make contact with you since you sent feedback regarding my query. I have also called the call centre, accounts department and sales department regarding your feedback and received no satisfaction, your colleagues have no idea why the solution to my query would be to restart my phone. Your feedback "Please restart the phone" makes no sense. To begin with, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my phone and neither was my query related to my phone. Do you require some clarity regarding my query in order to assist me appropriately? Below I have inserted the original complaint. If you are still not clear on what the query relates to, please contact me, at least more than once, so I can clarify.
