Apple Watch and Vodacom esim doesn't work! And Vodacom doesn't care.
TO ANYONE PLANNING ON GOING OVER TO VODACOM FOR THE Apple Watch ESIM, please read this first. I am completely unable to get my brand new Apple Watch cellular to work with Vodacom's Esim option. Full diagnostics have been run on Apple Watch, it is perfect. This is purely a case of incompetence on Vodacom's part.
I have been trying to get my watch's esim activated for a month and a half now with no luck. No one at the Vodacom store in Loch Logan, Bloemfontein seems to know how to get it connected. I have tried everything. I have been calling every few days for the last month and a half to get it sorted out, went to Bloemfontein last week, just to be sent away again without it working. It seems no one at Vodacom knows how their own product works. This week alone I have called every day, speaking to a different consultant at the Vodacom store in Loch Logan, Bloemfontein, everyday. Each time the call ends with the consultant promising to find out how to connect it and then call me back, which just doesn't happen. Not one of the 3 people came back to me.
I spent hours talking to customer care last month, but they could not do anything either. They simply have no answers.
And now, VODACOM REMOVED THE OPTION TO TALK TO A PERSON ON THEIR CUSTOMER CARE LINE?? Sending me to talk to Tobi, their chat bot, which is a totally useless.
I honestly do not know what to do. You took away your customer care number as well, so now there is literally no one to talk or complain to.
Horrible service VODACOM.
The poor service lives on.
