Appalling treatment received from VODACOM
Vodacom has decided to block my phone number, apparently I have phoned them too many times. This is what happened: 1st phonecall: I honed Vodacom regarding an issue, whilst a gentleman from Vodacom was speaking to me, the phone cut off.
2nd phonecall: I phoned again and spoke to Matthew. He advised me that I came through to the wrong division and need to phone a different number
3rd phonecall: I phoned again and spoke to Miesha for at least 20 minutes when he advised me to restart the computer and he will phone me back.
4th phonecall: I decided to phone Vodacom after a half an hour of waiting, just to find out that Vodacom has blocked my number!! I used someone else's phone and spoke to Sonwabilie who told me that I was blocked because I have been phoning Vodacom too many times!! There is nothing they can do.
It is absolutely outrageous how Vodacom treats their clients. The original reason why I have phoned Vodacom remains unresolved and I am sitting with a blocked phone.
Regarding the e-mail issue, I was advised to contact Telkom. We did and they confirmed that Vodacom needs to solve the problem. As explained, we have had the exact same issue last year. The problem is caused by loadshedding and the back-ups at Vodacom. We are using a Telkom email address, but Vodacom is the internet service provider. It was Vodacom that solved the problem last year, not Telkom. It is also interesting that Vodacom is not able to locate any record of this issue last year and how it was fixed.
Vodacom needs to learn how to treat their clients with respect. This experience has lead me to register with HelloPeter for the first time in my life. I am not a complainer.
Lastly, we are cancelling our contract with Vodacom. Exactly what Vodacom deserves, as there is no mutual respect. Not once did Vodacom have to ask for payment, we kept our end of the deal. Unfortunately, Vodacom decided to drop their end of the deal... respect and willingness to find a solution is too much of a tall order.
