Appalling Service from Vodacom
4 weeks ago my Samsung S23 Ultra was ******. The phone was insured, but not through Vodacom.
Being a dual sim phone, the phone has 2 IMEI numbers. I have tried repeatedly to get both IMEI numbers blacklisted so that I can claim from my insurance, but the 6 people from Vodacom who I have spoken to, blacklisted the first IMEI number but just say they cannot find the 2nd IMEI number on their system.
How is that possible?! That an IMEI number which is printed on the phone's box that I got from Vodacom, cannot be blacklisted because they cannot find that IMEI number on their system. And that I must just accept that and take the loss??!
The absolute disinterest and unwillingness to assist from the Vodacom staff is appalling, I will not recommend Vodacom to anyone looking to get a cellphone. Incredibly disappointing.
This morning I received an email back to say no sorry my blacklist form can only be processed in-store.
I am at a complete loss for works, Vodacom's incompetence and complete disregard for their customers is nothing short of astounding.
The IMEI number that I am trying to blacklist is on the box of the cellphone that i bought from Vodacome themselves, and now because they cannot find that number on their system, I cannot claim from my insurance.
This is absolutely pathetic. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VODACOM, spare your sanity.
