Appalling Customer Service Experience at Vodacom Four Ways Mall
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the customer service I received at Vodacom Four Ways Mall yesterday. My visit was prompted by the blocking and subsequent deletion of my number.
Upon arrival, I was assisted by a lady who displayed a shocking lack of professionalism. She was busy deleting personal Gmail emails on her mobile phone while supposedly attending to my concerns. Her lack of focus became evident as my information took an unnecessarily long time to populate on her screen.
When I inquired about the delay, she attributed it to a slow system without prior notification. To make matters worse, another lady nearby, who had just finished assisting a customer, initiated an informal conversation without excusing herself. When I interrupted and requested attention, she lashed out at me, raising her voice and creating an uncomfortable and threatening environment.
Despite my request for the manager's intervention, the situation escalated further. The manager struggled to control the situation, and the unprofessional behavior continued. Instead of addressing the issue, the manager defensively dismissed it by attributing it to women's attitudes, fostering a toxic culture at the store.
The lack of ownership, accountability, and responsibility for resolving the situation left me utterly disappointed. The disrespectful treatment I endured has seemingly become a new culture at Vodacom Four Ways Mall, where customers are unfairly lashed out at without any form of resolution or apology.
This incident has left me feeling victimized and embarrassed, and I believe it is crucial for Vodacom to address these issues promptly. I expect a swift resolution to this matter and an assurance that corrective actions will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
