APPALLED, TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!!!
The customer service I received on 13 July 2023, it was horrible, my Vodacom WhatsApp Ticket wouldn't work, I've had this issue numerous times before. And whenever I have this issue Vodacom always gives me the run around. The last time I had this problem I spoke to Lebu, she said she would reset/refresh my WhatsApp Ticket and I should switch my phone off and back on again. I did, and it worked.
Today I'm having the same issue, I decide to call Vodacom. Spoke to Sipho, he went back and forth with me telling my WhatsApp Ticket had been depleted and that my App isn't refreshing immediately, he goes on to tell me it was purchased in June and has depleted. I ask to speak to a manager, a person called Phumi attends to my call. She tells me to put my phone on flight mode and off it again, and the bundle will work.... I did all that and it still never worked. Who had to ring Vodacom again, me. Anyway......
It doesn't work I call again; I get through to Boitumelo............ the worst of them all, I've never spoken to anyone from Vodacom with an attitude like hers!!!!!! I'm frustrated at this point, I've had this problem numerous times before, and now I'm calling about it again, and instead of the customer service representative being helpful, she decides she will match my tone. Not her telling me "Sisonke you had an argument with Sipho not me"...... excuse me???? What customer service is this? Of course, I'm frustrated and have catched an attitude at this point. Not only does she not empathize for some reason she thinks I have a problem with her, I don't even know her, but yes, I have a problem with Vodacom. Anyway, we argued, and she told me she will refund me, I told her I never asked for a refund, she places me on hold and when she is back its someone else. This is now Rose, who introduces herself as a manager. Now I honestly don't know how these representatives and their managers were trained, no empathy, speaking over the customer.... surprised by how a manager cannot even explain how the complaint process works for Vodacom, and yet she works for Vodacom. I'm asking her after logging a complaint, what is the initial response or how long will it take for the complaint to be acknowledge, not resolved acknowledge she tells she cannot confirm that only the complaints team can. So, she doesn't know how long it will take for my complaint to be acknowledged... how, and you're a TL. I then explain to her I don't appreciate Boitumelo telling me she will refund me, because I bought that ticket because I want to use it for my WhatsApp, I have an elderly sick Mom in the EC, living with my cousin, so she needs to be able to send me a WhatsApp at any time, but now that cannot happen because my ticket isn't working.
Instead of acknowledging what I'm saying, she is telling me that was the only option Boitumelo had, so now I asked her... was Boitumelo not supposed to suggest that to me an her what I'd have to say about it? She tells me well that is the last resort because they've tried to assist me with my query, and it cannot be resolved so the next step is a refund. 'Next thing all she wants to do is log a service request so they can get me away from being dealt with by customer service and let back-office deal with me. I'm telling her I don't feel like my query is at that level yet, because I've had the same problem before and the lady I spoke to (Lebu, I wish I had her last name assisted me in one phone call).
I'm very disgusted with the customer service I received from Vodacom today, it has been bad in the past, but this takes the cake!!!!!!!!!
