Anti-competive behaviour and the worst service!

So Vodacom has introduced a new system which only they can operate - this means that consumers looking to open new accounts (or lines) with Vodacom can only do so through Vodacom and not other relatailers (such as the iStore, etc). On saturday, I went to the iStore to open a new line with Vodacom only to be told that my number has been migrated to a new system called C3D. the iStore was offering free products with new accounts and I unfortunately had to forego that as I could not open my account thre due to Vodacom's new systtem. I proceeded to the Vodacom store at Nelson Mandela Square where I encountered the most *********** people. They assure me that they could help me with my account. hours later, it became very evident that they did not know anything about this new systtem. How could Vodacom implement a new system without training their staff? I wasted hours on a Saturday (left the store at 8pm) for nothing. They could not open my account (although they kept on reassuring me that everything was going through and was just taking time) and I was sent away with no phone and not even a sorry. I left my details with them (they assured me that they would sort out the issues on Sunday). It is now pm on Monday and I have not heard a thing from Vodacom. I am so disappointed in Vodacom. If you are reading this and you are planning on opening a new account/line with Vodacom, do not bother. Rather go with another service provider. Vodacom are not serious about doing business and do not care about their customers. Readers beware!!

I will be sure to report this to ICASA, the Competition Commission and the Consumer Commission!

I still haven't heard from your consultants and this matter is still not resolved. I am still waiting for your C3D to work. We contacted Vodacom Nelson Mandela Square to report this matter and the store owner (Michael Palmer) was unbelievably rude to us. He was not even prepared to listen to our complaint or what the issue is! So disappointing for an organisation like Vodacom!
