Annual increases ahead of inflation and out of sync with new contract holder - an UNFAIR scan for customers
How incredibly disappointing! I upgraded my contract 2 months ago And have now been advised of the annual price increase - 10 % on my package So only 2 months into a new contract, I now have an increase that was not communicated in advance and is very punitive to all new contract holders Had I known that a change was coming in April, perhaps I would not have upgraded or taken a different (AKA lesser) package When I now spoke to the call centre agent (Canaan) I was ridiculously told that this was being done a) because Vodacom needs money b) Loadshedding in SA means Vodacom need more money for towers. And Vodacom must increase rates to keep being the best provider in SA Needless to say, that I hung up the call - how ridiculous. I am aware of the economics in SA and do not need a lecture from the operator. In addition, he then proceeded to inform me that if this is unfair to me, then it would be unfair to all Vodacom clients - uh. No, just those with young upgrades. If I could cancel/migrate my contract I really would do this I am not expecting a 10% increase from work this year, so how does that even compare to inflation - or just a random number picked by Vodacom?
