...and the salesman's name was Nelson

Vodacom has been pestering me for days now as I've been getting and rejecting calls from "Vodacom upgrades". I finally answered their call today and spoke with an overbearing and pushy salesman named Nelson, who kept on talking over me and refused to explain in clear language what he was proposing. In the end it came down to a saving of R10pm if I sign up for another 2 years. I only got the information that it was a commitment until 2025 when I stopped him and had him check the expiry date on the current contract. He deliberately tried to confuse the issue so that I would not know that I'm being forced to take on a renewal on a contract against my wishes, and then had the audacity to say that I'm confusing myself when he tried to obfuscate the truth from the first word out of his mouth. When I rejected his pathetic offer, he put the phone down in my ear. Well done Vodacom. Way to treat your loyal customers! I had no intention of shopping around for a new service provider but perhaps the time has come to take R2500 pm business elsewhere.
