***** and terrible service

Our business contracts were *****ulently upgraded to several high-end phones with upgraded contracts. Upon realising this we contacted Vodacom business immediately (1st of October). Fortunately the phones were not given to the *****sters yet, so the *****ulent upgraded phones were cancelled.

Alexis Pillay assisted with the initial cancellation of the phones and assured us that everything was cancelled. We were told to send a letter on a company letterhead via email for the cancellation, which we did. In the email we asked for an investigation to be launched into who committed this ***** and how it went undetected by Vodacom. We never heard from Alexis. I sent follow-up emails, no response. I phone, left messages, EVENTUALLY on the 4th of November she called back, stating that she has followed up with the ***** case and will get back to us as soon as she has heard from them. We are yet to hear from this. The phone upgrades were cancelled, but not the contracts, they continued to charge us for the higher end contracts, which we did not request. Alexis said that apparently our contracts all came to an end, so did the discounted contracts, and that we have to get upgraded contracts in order to qualify for the discount again.

Now we only every get our contracts renewed with Colin at the Bridge, and we always get great service from Colin. According to him these contracts WERE upgraded together with the *****ulent phone upgrades, so this nonsense that Alexis spinned regarding the discount that expired is untrue.

We followed up again, sent email, phoned, no luck.

We phoned again yesterday at 11:48, spoke to Merishia, requesting to speak to the complaints department, which she said doesn't exist, but I can request to speak to Alexis' supervisor. I requested for the supervisor to return my call. No call came.

The morning at 08:40 I phoned again, speaking to Rugashni, who said that Alexis sits opposite her and she will request for Alexis to phone me back. Wonder above wonder Alexis actually returned my call.

She acted super surprised that no one from their offices contacted us (though she knew as she received the emails that we have sent on to her.) She then asked if we submitted the affidavit, I asked what affidavit (no one has told us to get an affidavit done). She then said that she sees that there is a note on the account and she is going to phone that number and call me right back. I asked for her to please do so and to also send everything via email so we have a paper trail. I later emailed her to confirm what was discussed on the phone.

I have STILL not received an email from her, nor the promised phone call.

We have emailed her several times throughout the day, but have not received any response.

We need this resolved, the investigation launched as well as the *****ulent upgrade's money returned to us.

Reviewer Update
I was contacted by Thembi from Vodacom on 27 November 2025 at 15:00.
She told me that she will get the above matter sorted out.

Today is the 1st of November 2025, we received NO further correspondence from Vodacom, nothing has been sorted out.

The terrible service continues...
