An Absolute Disgrace to Communication companies
Networks are supposed to be customer centric and not obstuficate essential process.Previous Saturday an elderly Aunt & Uncle were victims of ******* in an attempted hijacking right in their driveway and they were brutally traumatized .Their valuables including phones were ****** and had the neighbours not rush to assist, even their car would have gone which is what the armed ********* seemed to be after..These brutal ****s escaped and the police etc arrived to the scene .It became imperative to block the phones as banking apps etc were active , however despite numerous calls to the Vodacom help lines to block the VODACOM phone but were unable to do as it kept on getting routed to automated services etc..after very lengthy holding times..These supposed to be easy to use services as are critically vital or essential and yet Vodacom doesn't seem to care in the least bit about customer needs .Now in comparison, the other 2 phones was on MTN & Telkom and they were blocked within minutes of making the call to the MTN and Telkom helplines respectively, for both were done after producing all the important information.Well done to MTN and Telkom. Vodacom you should be ashamed at the disgusting callousness at the way you address your critical clientele needs.Whats more telling is that the Vodacom phone was a high value device and the aunt's average usage is over a R1000 airtime a month and she feels hard done by that her choosen network has such a poor system and that this is an embarrassment to communications companies the world over..
I hope you guys at VODACOM address this disgraceful situation with your call centre management for blacklisting should never be an automated process that just continuously repeats it process without any resolution and NO option to speak to a consultant..
