Am very disappointed 😥 and angry 😡 with Vodacom

Am writing this review as am very disappointed 😥 and angry with Vodacom. I took out a contract with Vodacom in 2018 while I was working, I then lost my job later that year. I couldn't afford to pay for my monthly premiums and they accumulated and my account was in arrears. I then entered a payment agreement with Vodacom in 2020 as my spouse agreed to help me with the account. After I paid my second installment, a Vodacom consultant called me to offer me a 20% discount of I could settle the account. I then went back to my spouse ask if he can settle the account for me, which he did. I then called Vodacom after the account was settled to cancel it and I was told the account will be canceled. I was surprised 🤨 to receive a call from a debt collector last year in September(2021) informing that the account was handed over to them by Vodacom. After a lot of explanation that to my knowledge the account was closed and that I was offered a 20% discount hence the amount on the statement that shows as outstanding, the debt collector told me that I had to go to the police station to do an affidavit and send it to them. I did that and after some time they stopped calling me and sending me their weekly statements that were increasing. When I thought that was behind me another debt collector has started calling me about the Vodacom account again and am being told I have to do the whole process of going to the police station and do an affidavit. Vodacom had my phone number and email address all this time why didn't they make me aware of any outstanding amounts instead of handing me over to debt collectors. I don't owe Vodacom any amount as the amount that the debt collectors are claiming is outstanding is actually the 20% given to me by Vodacom last year in February(2021). Vodacom am pleading with you to remove my name on the list of people who are owing as even though I was not working my husband helped me to pay my account and am very frustrated with the constant calling and emails forms the debt collectors. I don't owe Vodacom any amount.
