Almost 2months later, numerous calls to the customer care - query Still NOT resolved!!!

I logged a call on the 12th of January 2017 after receiving numerous sms notifications for depleted dataon my number for another cellphone which does not belong to me. The agent took my details and the other number and advised that the query would be sorted within 7 days. whilst I was on the call with the agent another sms notification for depleted data came through and this time it was for a different number, I advised the agent of this and they said both numbers will be logged for resolution on the same query reference number.

almost a month later on the 9th of Feb I again called the customer care line to enquire the status of my query since no one had bothered to call me or resolve my issue. I was transfered from one person to the next eventually got through to IT and the agent advised that a certain IT technician was assisgned to my query and they would call me back by COB that very same day. however I should try and wait at least 48hrs at most for the feedback.

Called the customer care line again on the 13th Feb after receiving no feedback for the said technician, explained my query for the umpteenth time...transfered from pillar to post and eventually landed by a certain Raymond (ITSolutions dept.) who advised that my query was in progress however he will assist since he knew exactly what needed to be done. He mentioned how there was a migrating issue with vodacom to their new system hence the misalignment and redistribution of lines. he advised that he had escalated the query and I should not call again as the matter would be resolved within 7 days from the date which i had spoken to him.

Fastforward to the 27th February.... way past the promised TAT of 7days and countless notifications coming through on my number for notifications that are unrelated to my account. I again call the customer care line, this time I speak to Simon, who has no clue undehr the sun how to resolve my query and keeps repeating that I should wait as the staus of my query reflects "In Progress"...since he clearly does not hear what i'm saying to him and the frustration i am experiencing with these daily sms' I ask him to put me through to his line manager....10min later she answers my call and again makes me repeat what my query is about, which i do. She then tells me that she will escalate the matter and get someone to call me back with feedback. I advise her that I am not satisfied with her response since no one has EVER called me back since I first logged the call on the 12th Jan. I ask her to put me through to IT she tells me she can't do so. I then ask her to provide me with an email address where I can escalate this issue since there isn't anyone willing to take accountability for my query pending for so long, she tell me the email addresses are for internal use and she can't even provide the name of the agent assigned to my query so I should email customer care ( the none- existing email address, which I'm sure she would know does not exist since even the company website states so itself that it has been suspended) I suppose this was in an effort to just get rid of me. Anyway, I tell her I do not want a generic email since there's no gaurantee that anyone will respond let alone take accountability for this LONG OVERDUE query. She then provides me with her email address ********** and promises to call me back by 4:30pm the same day.

As expcted, today is the 28th and still no call from Sindiswa or anyone at vodacom for that matter. I se

nt an email to her to which i am yet to receive a response (If I ever will)...

I go onto the vodacom site to request a call back and the rudest agent calls me back with the most stinking attitude asking what "my problem" is, and proceeds to drop the call when i tell her not to give me attitude.

I again call 111, @ 8:48 , Thavelo picks up my call gets me to explain AGAIN. then tells me that the issue is caused by "recycled" numbers. Advises that the numbers i'm getting notifications for were previous users of my current cellphone number and have listed my cell number as an alternative contact detail???? (Whatever this means.....)

anyway after waiting on the call forever she then advises that she has logged a NEW query to also provide the 2nd number since the previous logged request was pending due to the missing information???

LIKE, I REALLY??!!!! Can people there do what they are paid to do asseblief.

I dnt think this query is THAT much a complexity that it takes 2months for Vodacom to resolve.

I'm now even more concerned if our personal details are safe with this company if such can happen and no one knows how to resolve this.

Ever heard of POPI (Protection Of Personal Information)?

I expect a RESOLUTION (Not feedback on status) to my query within 48hrs failing which I will escalate Vodacom to the ombudsman.

I have been FAR too patient!!!
