Alleged Liquid Damage
I received my Iphone 6 Plus 16GB on 5 January 2015 via contract. On 25 February 2015 I had to hand the phone back to Vodacom because the phone was faulty. Job Number: ***0. I spoke to Apple before going to Vodacom, who told me I had to go to Vodacom because there were both hardware and software issues and only Vodacom would cover this under my warranty. As far as hardware the lock/on/off button was faulty and did not work and thus the phone could not be locked and/or switched off. Software wise the phone typed by itself on whatsapp and liked photos by itself on Instagram. Now 2 weeks later I am told there is LIQUID DAMAGE TO MY DEVICE and my warranty is void. When I insisted my phone is only 7 weeks old and has never been anywhere near water and kept in a case and with a screen guard on and in pristine condition, I am told \well it can just happen from the air."This is the most unjust situation I have ever come across. It is in total violation of the Consumer Protection Act. I am 100% sure the phone is not liquid damaged."""
