All promises, no action
I was recently phoned and offered data at a better price on the existing price I was paying as per my contract. With it I could also get an HP laptop at a much reduced montly fee and accepted the offer. However, having received the goodies, I discovered that the existing data package became actually an additional data package and I ended up having an extra router. I also suddenly had four cell phone numbers as opposed to the existing two. Enquires made within 24 hours after receipt of the parcel on whether this order can be adapted I was informed no. It is either accept the deal as is or cancel and return for a full refund and cancellation of the extra two cell numbers. I returned everything (with the original packaging) and after approx four days received an sms from Vodacom acknowledging receipt of every single item in good. Unused condition and that the new contracts will be cancelled and the debits raised against my account, reversed. After another few days I checked and discovered one of the extra cell numbers still active, containing data. I contacted Vodacom again, speaking to first to Simango and then to Ashton. They agreed this was incorrect and an arrears amount of close on R136 is a mistake. I was promised correction and provided with query reference *** Even though having received an acknowledgement by sms again that this mistake was rectified, it was not. I kept getting messages also urging me to pay the arrears, which I do not owe. I phoned again and this time spoke to Pinta and to Louis. Once again I was promised rectification of this problem. This time the query ref is ***. Then on the past Sunday at 01h10 I discovered I could no longer access the internet despite having data available. I phoned and spoke to a Gugulethu. She apparently tried to raise Collections to restore my blocked account but failed to raise somebody atwork to do so. She would try again later in the morning. This time I was furnished with no ref no of my query, having threatened to take legal action against this flagrant breach of contract, now impacting on me financially as well as inconvenience. And still no corrective actions taken and still no crediting my account. Also I still keep on getting a sms everyday urging me to pay an arrears that should not exist. I am sick and tired of Vodacom
Best regards,
Best regards,
I am afraid my experience in this regard has put the veracity of such a statement seriously in doubt.
As to "assist you" is laughable since they already have all the details on hand already, on tape, and as per this review.
All promises, no action. And I am the one that has to continue putting my hand in my pocket. I am the one having to deal with the consequences of their ******ion racket.
And in the end I remain the one out of pocket.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Best regards,
Confirming your inability to get hold of me confirms your lack of action in dealing with a serious complaint.
I already phoned numerous times and got nowhere but for empty promises.
And how many times have you tried to get hold of me? I doubt you even tried once as I have not a single record of having received such a call.
And you want me to initiate a new round of frustration? No.
You are at fault. You get ahold of me.
