All pop and no fizz
Not so good morning to Samsung South Africa and Vodacom SA, I app**** for an upgrade from a Samsung S5 to a Samsung S7 Edge in the beginning of March 2016. Part of the promotional offer included both the Gear VR and the Wireless fast charging pad. The order was placed beginning of March 2016 and the phone finally delivered in April 2016. I was subsequently advised by Vodacom that the wireless charger was no longer in production and being offered by Samsung South Africa and that the VR Gear was no longer on promotion. It was highlighted that there had been a backorder issue. During the month long process my order had been placed once, subsequently reversed and then re-instated again. I feel like there has been misrepresentation by both Vodacom and Samsung South Africa in this regard as they were unable to fulfill their obligations in respect of the promotion run. I understand that there is legislation that protects consumers from ************ advertising and misrepresentation i.e the CPA as well as there being a regulator and ombudsman which can intervene where required by consumers who have been been induced into transactions through such misrepresentation. I would like this matter to be resolved as soon as possible and will not tolerate being told nobody is liable to fulfill the contractual obligations entered into between myself and Vodacom/Samsung South Africa. I request to be contacted as a matter of priority on *** to have this matter resolved. Victim of misrepresentation and false advertising, not so kind regards Isabella
