ALL I WANT IS A BATTERY FOR MY TABLET BEFORE 23rd OCTOBER 2019.

I sent this email to Samsung on the 17th Oct: On the 30th September 2019 I called Samsung enquiring where I can get a battery for my tablet. I was told that I should take it to a Vodacom Repair centre. After they asked where I reside, they first suggested I go to Menlyn. I asked them if there is anything in Centurion to which they rep****, I should take it to Vodacom Repair Centre in Centurion Mall.

On the 2nd October, at 10h15, I called Vodacom Repair Centre to ask their exact whereabouts. Once I found out, I went there with my tablet. They kept telling me that I needed to check the tablet in. I said no, its not on contract or warranty so it doesnt need to be checked in, they must just order me the battery. I then went outside of Vodacom and made a call to Samsung direct. The lady said that it would take 10 days for the battery to reach Vodacom. I asked her where she was based, thinking it was an overseas branch, and she said, in Midrand.?? I asked her if I can collect the battery rather as it would cut down on the 10 days as I was going away and needed my tablet. She said NO and she wasnt interested any further.

I went back inside to Vodacom and the form was filled out, I signed, they gave me a copy which I subsequently lost.

Today, 17 October 2019, I called Vodacom, only to be told that they have no record against my cell number for that tablet. Unfortunately my car has been in for service and tyre checks etc as I will be leaving for my next trip at the end of this month again, and I suspect they might have thrown it out when they cleaned out the car. during todays phonecall to Vodacom, I tried to explain the following:

1. The device is MINE 2. I do not owe anything on the device 3.I will be changing the battery myself and if I get stuck, I will seek assistance 4. Neither Vodacom nor Samsung have any say whatsoever over my device as it is out of warranty and no contract

Im sick and tired of this pathetic service from both Vodacom and Samsung. All I want is a battery, why is it so difficult to get a battery.

There is nothing wrong with the tablet.?? It was bought in 2016 or early 2017 (but its a 2016 model), it was working perfectly the previous night and the following day, the battery just wouldnt charge.?? I dont have the time or money to give it in as I need it for my trip.?? I just need the battery.

SAMSUNG RESPONSE: -------- Good Day xx, Thank you for your email We are sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. It would be helpful if you had any refence / job number with, so, we can investigate the matter Regrettably , in this case you we'll have to take the matter up with Vodacom We do apologize for the unsatisfactory response to your query. ------ My response back to Samsung: Hi, Please explain why I need to deal with Vodacom in the first place. My tablet has nothing to do with Vodacom! Now can someone please take responsibility and supply me with a battery! Or is this now going to be Samsung shunting me from pillar to post?? Why is Samsung NOT communicating with Vodacom to resolve this issue??? Why must I, the client, be inconvenienced because of whatever agreement you might have with Vodacom, if that is the case. ----------- Inbetween emails, I have been communicating with Vodacom on Twitter, who is more interested in where I purchased the tablet.
