***** Alert

three months ago I received an email from a vodacom store I ha initially activated my contract with, offering me an upgrade. I decided not to respond to the email or take interest in what they were offering as I had plans to end my contract. Few weeks later my billing invoice reflects that I upgraded my contract at this store in Bapong, Brits North West. I contacted the vodacom customer care to query and initiate cancelation only to be told that I have to drive to the store and cancel the contract in store. Vodacom customer care connected me to the store and the sales person, Dominic took my number and said he will process the cancellation on my behalf and acknowledge that someone in their store *****ulently used my details and upgraded a contract as well as take a device under my name. Weeks went by without communication so I contacted vodacom customer care again. The only solution they offered was activation a ***** alert and that I have to go physically to the store. Monday I went to the store to cancel the upgrade, the sales Dominic, person who knew my case said he cannot process and contacted the manager Mr Makhudu, who claimed to been in Albania for those weeks I requested a cancellation and on Monday was out of office in JHB hence he cannot process my request. I have had it with Vodacom their bare minimum attitude towards their customers. My personal details should be protected as a customer under the consumer protection act as well as POPIA as a South African citizen.
