Airtime simply disappearing without using the phone

Why is airtime simply disappearing??

I am utterly disappointed to see Vodacom follow in the footsteps of MTN and just have airtime vanish into thin air. This is on a phone which doesn't have mobile data so there's no excuse that maybe we using up on data.

I want my money back and an apology.

This is ridiculous
