aint verbal contract just as binding as written 1

30/10/13 Colette from Vodacom phoned and offered me airtime of R135 for 2 years at fee of R78. odd cent 1st deduction end Dec 2013 as Vodacom does not want to lose a good customer. (****). During 2015 this went up to R83.38 but now on 30.11.15 billing went up to R149.50. I went to Vodacom shop in N1 city where I was informed that Vodacom increased their prices and all customers received a sms informing them of such. Understatement of the year. THIS IS A R66 INCREASE FOR R135 AIRTIME. Ain't a verbal contract just as binding as a written one any more. My contract should expire end Dec 2015 but judging by the above I doubt whether this will be the case. I want Vodacom to cancel my contract with them with immediate effect. I phoned and the voice said: We are experiencing a high volume of calls at the moment so it might take some time before your call will be answered. What\s new??? I must go to Canal Walk and pay R10 parking for the only Customer Care shop!!!!!! They do not offer good service at all. Never ever will I have a contract with Vodacom again. Rather without a cellphone!!!!! Acc no ***8-8"
